Alysa & Michael

July 17, 2016

The first wedding I ever did was my own and after that I was hooked. I’d worked in a flower shop for 3 years prior to my wedding but I really found my own path with florals when I started doing weddings. I have always loved flowers, learning their names, observing their natural flow and I started really embracing the wild, free side of florals with my own wedding.

I loved planning a wedding. It was very relaxed and I had no problem delegating because there were so many people around all wanting to help. So I put everyone to work and I took a friend with me and we went to the church where my flowers were being kept and we starting creating.

My friend started on the bridesmaid bouquets and I dove in and started making my bouquet. I had order flowers that I knew I loved - delphiniums, roses, scabiosa, freesia, eucalyptus. Once I started, I couldn’t stop! It became the most glorious, full, lush bouquet I have ever made! And I loved it. The soft blues. The wild whites. The ever-lovely eucalyptus. A dream to create and cherish. ♡
